| Lucy Salamanca was born in Colombia and was graduated in Industrial Design in Bogota. In 1985 obtained her master degree in design at the IED in Milan.
From 1985 collaborated as a designer for designers such as Paolo Orlandini, Paolo Nava, Aldo Cibic, Ambrogio Rossari. Opened a studio in Milan in 1991 and then from 2001 moved to Bologna, Salamanca design & Co. From 1997 to 2002 worked with the brand Culti in the area of Home and Wellness. "I realize that is important to have a creative vision of the future which increases the cultural values of the company."
From 2000 to 2002 was lecturer of Design at the Design Academy of Bolzano. Concepts and exhibitions Curator in "Abitare il tempo in 1997", Italian living in New York and Tokyo in 2004 for Macef and many others. Since 2002 she has been working for the development of ethic design in handcrafts from Latin America and the Asian countries.
